In today’s chicken farms, there have been many changes in the way chickens are raised. Many farmers have begun to transform into multi-layer chicken cages in order to breed laying hens and broilers. Multi-layered chicken cages for laying hens and broilers can increase the utilization rate of the chicken houses and fully allow the chicken houses to play a good rate to breed more chickens. Therefore, the quality of the chicken cages is a concern of farmers. The author will teach the farmers several methods and points to test the quality of the chicken layer cages for sale in Zimbabwe, which is only for farmers to refer to.
1. Solder joint tension test: Farmers can randomly extract several points from the poultry equipment manufacturer’s chicken cage pieces and test them with the equipment for testing tensile force. Investigate the pull strength of the chicken cage equipment of the manufacturer. The size of the pulling force is related to the growth of the chickens and the comfort of the chickens in the chicken cages. Therefore, the farmers need special attention.
2. The second method is that the farmer can extend the wire around the chicken cage mesh. In the semi-finished product of the manufacturer, randomly select three mesh pieces, and then measure the protrusion value around the mesh piece with a ruler.
3. Determination of the thickness of the galvanized layer of the chicken cage: When the farmer purchases the chicken cage equipment, the galvanizing process is to be done by each manufacturer to produce the chicken cage. In order to strengthen the corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the chicken cage equipment, the thickness of the galvanized layer is important. The farmer can randomly select 3 bottom nets and 3 sets of cages in the manufacturer’s chicken cage equipment, each of which can measure 3-5 points, which is based on the test data of the lower point, and is measured by a magnetic test thick gauge.
4. Determination of anti-deformation: Because in each group of chicken cages, the farmer breeds a large number of chickens, so the deformability of the chicken cage equipment depends on the service life of the chicken cage equipment. The farmer can adjust the cage installation of several groups of chicken cages to a better state, and then measure each cage separately three times. Each measurement process should be evenly placed on the bottom net with heavy objects (such as bricks), instead of the weight of the chicken, the load is simulated at 130% of the designed load weight, and the deformation amount is measured every five days. A total of 3 measurements were taken, and after 15 days, the load was removed and the amount of deformation of the bottom net was measured.
