The wet curtain and fan of automatic chicken breeding equipment are the most affordable and effective cooling measures. At present, most chicken farms use water curtains and negative pressure fans. In fact, as long as the installation is reasonable, the cooling effect is very worthy of recognition.
The chicken house should be as tight as possible. The wet curtain device relies on the negative pressure formed in the chicken house to cool down. If the air-tightness of the chicken house is not good, no negative pressure can be formed in the chicken house. This will result in less cold air passing through the wet curtain, and hot air outside the chicken house will get in. Therefore, do not open the window of the dormitory because of the high temperature in summer.
Reasonably determine the number of fans in the chicken house and the area of the water curtain. The number of fans and the area of the water curtain should be determined according to the local climatic conditions, the size of the chicken, and the breeding density. At the same time, the effective air intake area will decrease after the wet curtain device is used for a period of time. Therefore, when calculating the wet curtain area, it can be increased appropriately. Under normal circumstances, it is calculated by raising 10,000 laying hens. If the average weight of the chicken is 1.8kg, it needs to be equipped with 25 square meters and 4 fans.
Keep a certain distance between the wet curtain and the chicken coop. This is to prevent the cold wind from blowing directly on the chicken when it comes in. Under normal circumstances, the distance between the wet curtain and the chicken coop should be kept 2-3 meters. In this way, it is not easy to damage the wet curtain when transporting chicken coop cleaning work and egg carts.
Pay attention to the influence of water temperature. Try to use deep well water. Because the colder the water flowing through the wet curtain, the better the cooling effect. When the water has been circulated several times and the temperature of the water rises (above 24°C), it should be replenished in time. The water used for the first activation of the wet curtain must be added with a disinfectant to prevent the spread of diseases.
Pay attention to the installation of the wet curtain water pipe. The drain of the horizontal sewer pipe of the wet curtain should be installed upwards to prevent blockage and uneven water flow. Do not install the wet curtain drain pipe completely closed to facilitate cleaning and disassembly.
