Nowadays, the breeding industry generally uses cages to raise chickens. We generally divide the chicken cages into layer chicken cages, broiler cages and brooding cages. Each type of cage will have its difference. The author below will talk about the difference between battery layer chicken cages and broiler cages.
1. The density of feeding in the cage. When the cage is not kept, the chicken body changes greatly before and after the broiler is raised. The feeding density is not affected by the weight gain of the later chickens, and is generally 30-38/m2.
2. For broiler cages that are not caged, it is necessary to consider preventing the chicken from running and easy to feed. It is necessary to use a horizontally adjustable fence of the cage front net or an upper and lower adjustable baffle in front of the cage, and the adjustment range should be larger than that of the chick.
3. In order to improve production efficiency and economic benefits, most of the cages are stacked, or half-stepped with a large degree of overlap (1/2 to 2/3 deep cage), or a stepped hybrid.
4. The number and size of chickens in the cage are different. In general, the number of chickens in a broiler cage is more than that of a cage, usually 10 to 20 per cage. The length is 800 to 1000 mm, the width is 500 to 600 mm, and the height is 300 to 400 mm.
5. The bottom net of the broiler cage. The bottom net of the broiler cage has two characteristics: one is that the bottom net is flat, there is no dip; the other is that the bottom net can prevent the occurrence of chest cysts in addition to the chicken dung. Breeding chicken cages, also known as young chicken cages, are mainly used to raise young hens between 60 and 140 days of age, usually in groups. The structural parameters of the mesh are: the spacing of the longitudinal wires of the front net and the top net should be 40-50 mm; the spacing of the transverse wires of the top net is 100-200 mm; the width of the cage is 180-200 mm.
The above is the difference between the layer chicken batter cage and the broiler farming equipment that the author tells. If the farmer still wants to know other problems with the cage, you are welcome to call our technical service staff.
